Dosing
Semaglutide is a once a week subcutaneous injection and dosing must be followed exactly as prescribed. Use an injection on the same day each week.

How It Works
Semaglutide Weight Loss is a subcutaneous injection of peptide taken weekly that mimics a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) that targets areas of the brain that regulate appetite and food intake.

Semaglutide helps to control your blood sugar, but people also tend to lose weight. GLP-1, the key hormone involved, slows down how fast your stomach empties food. Semaglutide 2022 Study Results

In a 2022 study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, 1961 adults diagnosed with obesity (BMI ≥30) or heavy body weight (BMI ≥27), with the average starting weight of about 232 lbs., were given weekly Semaglutide injections. Over a 68-week period they lost an average of 35 lbs, or about 15% of their body weight. The following results were observed:

• 83% of adults taking Semaglutide lost 5% or more of their weight.
• 66% of adults taking Semaglutide lost 10% or more of their weight.
• 48% of adults taking Semaglutide lost 15% or more of their weight.

Precautions
Call your doctor at once if you have signs of a thyroid tumor, such as swelling or a lump in your neck, trouble swallowing, a hoarse voice, or shortness of breath.

Anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer should avoid the semaglutide. People who have a rare condition called multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2) shouldn’t take it either; neither should those with a history of pancreatitis or gallbladder disease. Any older adult who has thinning bones (osteopenia or osteoporosis), or severe loss of muscle mass, should be cautious because this can exacerbate those problems especially if they fail to build adequate aerobic and strength training exercise into their weight loss program.
